Corral Creek Overview. Corral Creek is a small dispersed camping area located next to the Wild & Scenic Kern River about 9 miles north of Kernville. There are about 12-14 camping areas for groups, tents, trailers and RVs. Some sites are 'walk to'. The campground is open year-round and is free Corral Creek Road (FS-137) was great. There are 13 sites spread out along the ~4 mile road. Some are full sun, others full shade, and a few with a mix. The sites are different sizes, different distance from the road or Corral Creek. The low use level and size of the campground, along with the spacing between campsites at Corral Springs make for an enjoyable camping trip regardless of number people in your group.
